3 general posing tips - for an any day photoshoot
Pull chin forward (slightly!)
No one wants a double chin in their photo. Moving your chin slightly forward can help accentuate that nice jaw-line. (But not too far forward or you’ll have the opposite problem!)
Leave space between the arm and the torso
A photo is two dimensional. Things that we see with our naked eye will look different when viewed flat on paper or digitalized. The trick is to change our posture to get the photo to look the way we see it! If you google it, you learn that pulling your arm slightly away from your torso helps give it its natural shape.
Laugh a lot
Today, find 3 simple things that make you laugh. Repeat this tomorrow. Begin creating a habit of laughter. Not only will this help you in life, but it will take your photos to the next level. Laughter brings out your natural and beautiful smiles. Yes, I’ll admit, whenever I stand in a family picture you can hear me laugh a little under my breath the whole time. This may sound creepy. But that continuous laughter helps keep my smile from fading! It really works, try it next time! :D
