A photographer’s secret with angles!
I know what you’re thinking… Why does it matter the angle of the photo? Won’t my photographer take care of that? Yes, most photographers will and should. But it’s always helpful to go into the photoshoot with basic knowledge on how photos are taken and what angles will help you to look your best. So if you’d like to know more about the photographer's secret, read on! :) (If not, you can disregard this blog and move on)
(Note: all these photos are raw/unedited for your best learning purposes!)
Shoot from above (rather than below)
People always look better from above. Photos angled from below cast unnecessary shadows.
Leave space to look
You want space to look and move. You don’t want to be running into the wall of the end of the photo!
Don’t cut off your photos at the joints!
This can make your leg look abnormally long. You don’t know when it ends.
Well, now you know! Next time you get your photos done, or just take a selfie for fun, you’ll know some ins and outs of how it works. This knowledge can speed up the photoshoot process and help you know how to pose! (Believe me, as I’ve learned about photography, I have gotten better at posing in my own photos! It works)
